The Development department exists for two reasons. First, to help individuals and congregations appreciate the nature and the significant Kingdom-impact of this shared mission partnership that is called the Convention of Atlantic Baptist Churches. Although our Convention exists for the health, vitality and effectiveness of its member churches (and not the other way around), our Convention nonetheless requires significant support to carry out its various ministries. Second, the Development department also exists to assist churches in promoting discipleship-based holistic stewardship as well as develop congregational financial practices which are transparent, efficient and Biblically based.
