Upcoming Events @ ADC

There are two upcoming events at Acadia Divinity College that may be of interest. The first is the Simpson Lectures (February 8-10) with guest lecturer Dr. Marva Dawn, Teaching Fellow in Spiritual Theology at Regent College in Vancouver, BC. She will be speaking on "Worship in an Age of Weary Skeptics and Confused Millennials." The Simpson Lectures are a free annual series of lectures in the area of preaching and the practice of ministry. This also provides continuing education for students and pastors. For registration information, follow this link: The Simpson Lectures. There are also week long intensive courses that are available to audit (contact lorraine.higgins@acadiau.ca for more information):
- Caught in the Web: The Dark Side of the Internet & Its Impact on the Church - Dr. Vicki Patton
- Theology and Practice of Prayer - Dr. Lionel Moriah
- Missions and the Church - Rev. Terry Smith
The second event is Day for Discovery (March 4-5), an opportunity for prospective students to explore God's call to full-time ministry. It is also a chance to see everything ADC has to offer. Special speaker is Rev. Renée Embree, Associate Pastor of Main Street Baptist Church, and graduate of ADC. For registration information, follow this link: Day for Discovery.
