The Council of our Convention of Atlantic Baptist Churches has announced that, after a thorough and prayer-filled process, they will recommend to this year’s Assembly Rev. Peter Reid to be the new Executive Minister for our Convention of Atlantic Baptist Churches. The appointment process will be completed when the delegates at Assembly ratify this decision of Council.
Dr. Margaret Munro, President of our Convention, is quoted as saying “We are delighted to present the name of Rev. Peter Reid to our churches. This process was not taken lightly as we had a number of very good candidates to consider. However, both the Search Committee and our Council feel confident that Peter is the person that God has led us to and has called as the next Executive Minister for this Convention.”
Rev. Reid is Senior Pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church in Truro, and also a Past President of our Convention.
